INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. -- In a battle of unbeaten teams, Porter Ridge held Marvin Ridge without a touchdown in a 27-3 week seven win in Indian Trail Friday night.
Coming off a narrow win against Providence day two weeks ago, the well rested Pirates shutdown a high scoring Marvin Ridge squad that had scored at least 30 points in each of its previous three games.
The Pirates now have the upper hand in the Southern Carolina Conference and will travel to Parkwood in week eight action.
