Local high schools hold soccer tryouts

CHARLOTTE. N.C. -- Several schools are looking for new members for their soccer team. As you know, the World Cup ended not too long ago. The final between Argentina and Brazil drew more than 26.5 million viewers from ABC and Univision, according to the USA Today.

So if you are looking to be a part of the fastest growing sport in America, look no further than your local high school.

Hough High School: August, 1 at 8 a.m. There will be two to three days of tryouts.

North Mecklenburg: August 4 -7 from 7:00 a.m - 10:00 a.m - *Mandatory parent meeting for all fall athletes set for Sunday, August 10 at 5:00 p.m. in the NMHS Auditorium.

East Mecklenburg: August 4 – 5 from 7:30-10:30 a.m.

Mallard Creek: August 4 at 6:00 p.m.

North Mecklenburg: August 4-7 from 7-10 a.m.
