CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Scott Chadwick and the Myers Park Mustangs are off to their hottest start in over 30 years.
With a 14-11 win over South Meck at home, the Mustangs are 4-0, matching the 1983 team. South Meck trailed most of the game, but a late rally left the Sabres with an opportunity to tie the game and possibly force overtime before a 43-yard field goal attempt sailed wide and ended their hopes of winning.
Myers Park quarterback Jack Davidson was reliable throughout the game, finding the endzone on the ground and through the air while racking up over 200 yards of total offense.
Myers Park will look to continue their fast start next week when they visit unbeaten Sun Valley. South Meck will have an opportunity to rebound against the Harding Rams.
