ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Northwestern Trojans won their fourth straight Friday night, overcoming a high-octane offensive attack from visiting Spartanburg, 35-31.
Spartanburg jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead on a 25-yard touchdown pass to Damyjai Foster. Northwestern answered with two touchdowns of their own to take a 14-7 lead.
By halftime, both teams combined for 49 points and a whole lot of offense. Things slowed down considerably in the second half after a huge stand by the Northwestern defense on their own goalline kept Spartanburg out of the endzone.
