CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The South Meck Sabres snapped a three-game losing streak Friday, taking down South Meck 8 foe Providence 21-20.
Rocky White’s team broke out of their slump by jumping out to a 7-0 lead when DeAngelo Blair-Young found the endzone on a five-yard touchdown run.
Providence battled back, however, when Blake Proehl caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Jack Cherry to tie things up at 7. Providence took their first lead of the game when Julian Boddie plunged in from one yard out, making it 13-7.
South Meck sealed it up when Blair-Young scored from 17 yards out.
