Roche, 26, has 29 points in 34 games this season with the Checkers and his 16 goals rank second on the team. He has nine multi-point games and scored back-to-back game-winning goals in Florida on Dec. 11 and 12. The native of South Boston, Mass. played three games with Providence (AHL) this season registering one assist. In 38 career AHL games, he has two goals and six assists.

Schaeffer, 25, joins the Wolf Pack after playing in two stints with the Lake Erie Monsters. In seven games in Lake Erie, he has two assists. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound defenseman has notched one goal and six assists in 31 games with the Checkers this year.
