CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. -- Former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield is expected in a Caldwell County courtroom Monday.
He's accused of four counts of felony theft. In January, it appeared Mayfield’s legal troubles would soon be over, he and prosecutors were reportedly working on a plea deal.
The charges against Mayfield stem from a search of his property in Hudson back in 2011. Investigators say they found meth and stolen goods.
In addition to the charges in Caldwell County, Mayfield faces a list of charges in Catawba County, as well.
Mayfield has maintained his innocence.
