CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Brad Keselowski will skip the Nationwide Series race this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway because of his broken ankle.

Parker Kligerman will drive the No. 22 Penske Racing Dodge for Keselowski in Friday night's race.

It will be the fourth Nationwide race Keselowski has skipped since he was injured in an Aug. 3 accident while testing at Road Atlanta.

Keselowski has not missed any Sprint Cup races because of the accident, winning at Pocono four days after it occurred. He also finished second at Watkins Glen and third at Michigan on Sunday.

The strong runs have moved Keselowski into 12th place in the Sprint Cup standings and in position for a berth in the Chase for the championship.

He is the defending Nationwide Series champion.
