MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) -- A South Dakota motorcycle company is suing NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer for allegedly failing to pay for work on a bike.

Klock Werks Kustom Cycles in Mitchell says Bowyer failed to pay nearly $31,000 for customization work on a Harley-Davidson in late 2008 and early 2009. The company is seeking the money plus 18 percent annual interest from the time the job was completed, along with attorney and court fees.

The Daily Republic newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/Jiitx9) that Bowyer's attorney in court papers denies that the driver from North Carolina agreed to pay money for the bike work. Bowyer says he agreed to provide Klock Werks with other compensation such as promotional services and that he fulfilled his obligations.
