Panthers Fan Fest to be held Friday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Panthers' first preseason game is just weeks away, but it's the team's first preseason practice that's getting attention.

Fan Fest will be held Friday night, July 25 when the Panthers holds their practice session at the newly renovated Bank of America Stadium.

Admission is free. Fans will receive a 2014 team roster photo card and schedule.

Festivities begin when gates open at 5 p.m. Practice begins at 6:30 p.m. and will include drills, seven-on-seven, special teams and team periods.

There will be performances by the TopCats, PurrCussion and Black & Blue Crew. The Fan Fest Sponsor Village, located by the North Gate, will have tents with interactive games, giveaways, Twist the Balloon Man, music and inflatables. The night ends with a performance by the Voltage Brothers and fireworks show at 9 p.m.

Fans will also get to check out the new renovations. They include new scoreboards, ribbon boards and sound system.

Fan Fest, which is usually held the Saturday after the first week of preseason practice, was rescheduled for the Liverpool and A.C. Milan soccer game on Aug. 2.

Strollers and video cameras will be permitted inside the stadium for Fan Fest only. Transparent, plastic, vinyl or PVC bags smaller than 12" x 6" x 12" will be allowed after inspection. All other stadium policies remain in effect.
