Panthers to charge for Fan Fest admission for first time

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers officially announced the schedule for the 2017 Fan Fest on Friday, August 4.

Instead of offering free admission, the Panthers will charge $5 for reserved tickets. According to the team, all proceeds from Fan Fest will benefit Carolinas Panthers Charities and its ongoing mission to serve the needs of communities across the Carolinas.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 22. They will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis through Ticketmaster.com. To purchase tickets, click on “Fan Fest Tickets” under the “Hot Topics” bar on the Panthers.com home page. Tickets are limited to six per household.

Bank of America gates will open at 6 p.m. and the event will get started with a performance by the PurrCussion and TopCats. Players will take the field at 7:15 before drills start at 7:30 and the event will be capped with fireworks and an interactive light show.

Fans are encouraged to download the Carolina Panthers mobile app to be a part of the light show.

6:57 p.m. -- TopCats performance

7:02 p.m. -- Sir Purr with the Black & Blue Crew

7:15 p.m. -- Players take the field

7:30 p.m. -- Practice begins

9:30 p.m. -- Fireworks, lasers and interactive light show
