CHARLOTTE - Panthers tight end Greg Olsen, like many college football fans, will have his eyes on Appalachian State vs. No. 25 Miami on Saturday.
"It's a big one," said Olsen, who played at Miami from 2004-06.
It's the first time the Mountaineers have hosted a team from a Power 5 conference, and a record crowd is expected at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
Olsen bet a lunch next week on the outcome of Saturday's game.
"The better win," Olsen said. "I hope they win for many reasons."
Defensive backs coach Steve Wilks played at Appalachian State from 1987-91, so if the Mountaineers win, Olsen is on the hook for the entire defensive back room's lunch one day next week.
