CHARLOTTE - The PGA Championship Trophy was in Charlotte Tuesday well in advance of the final major of the upcoming season.
The Wanamaker Trophy made an appearance as part of the "Taste of the PGA Championship," a sneak peak at hospitality offerings for the event, which runs August 7-13 at Quail Hollow Club.
"This is one of those times that you can tell the PGA Championship is on the horizon," said Championship Director, Jason Mengel.
Charlotte's first major championship has already broken PGA Championship records...
- Corporate hospitality sales record
- PGA Championship ticket sales record
"The level of support for this event is fantastic," said Mengel.
Tickets are currently sold out, but practice round tickets are still available, and will be re-released over the holidays.
