NCAA drops the hammer on Penn State

The NCAA came down hard on Penn State July 23 in handing down punishment for the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal. Penn State was fined $60 million, was stripped of all its football wins from 1998 through 2011, barred from postseason games for four years, and lost 20 total scholarships annually for four seasons.
