Thomas Davis busy giving back

Thomas Davis visits school

CHARLOTTE - This time every year, the one of the most charitable Panthers is busy being...very charitable.

Linebacker Thomas Davis and his organization, Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Foundation, are very busy throughout the weekend.

On Friday, Davis, and some teammates, visited several schools in Charlotte to talk to, and just have fun with kids.

There was also a visit to Levine Children's Hospital.

Friday evening, there was a comedy show, Saturday a football camp, and Sunday a celebrity golf tournament.

"It's a great feeling just to see the genuine excitement that the kids have. Knowing we're for them," said Davis. "When we raise money for the foundation, it goes directly back to the community. One hundred percent of the proceeds."

Davis was the 2014 winner Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award, given annually to an NFL player for his excellence on and off the field,
