STATESVILLE, N.C. Iredell County Deputies arrested 20 people in a major drug round up Friday.

Deemed Operation Christmas Crackdown, police arrested 14 men and 6 women ranging from 19-63 years old on various offenses. Officials have named nine more suspects they are still actively trying to find and arrest.

In most of the cases the suspects sold illegal drugs to undercover officers. Some of these investigations took months to develop and many are still on-going, the report states.

Police found a growing operation and detectives seized marijuana, cocaine and cash during the raid. Four of the people arrested were with the suspects during the raid and had outstanding warrants from other police agencies.

Of the 29 people charged, 20 are from Statesville, three are from Olin, three are from Mooresville, two are from Troutman and one is from Clyde.
