LAKENORMAN, N.C. -- An estimated 75 gallons of wastewater may have made its way to Lake Norman, utility officials say.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utility Department responded to the 17,200 block of Connor Quay Court in Cornelius on Wednesday afternoonn to reports of a broken wastewater pipe.

Officials say an estimated 75 gallons of waste water may have reached Lake Norman.

Crews were able to contain stop the spill, repair the pipe and clean the area.

No dead fish were found associated with the overflow, authorities say.
