GASTONIA, N.C. -- Thieves made off with $2,500 worth of cigarettes from a grocery store in Gastonia, and police are asking for help identifying the suspects.

Gastonia Police say two men entered the Bi-Lo in the 2200 block of Union Road by smashing the glass doors.

The suspects then jumped the front counter and snagged 57 cartons of cigarettes before fleeing the store.

The suspects are described as two black males with medium builds, one with a goatee wearing a camo jacket with a hood, blue jeans and black shoes. The other, police say, was wearing a mostly tan coat with a dark color, possible black on the shoulders.
