MAIDEN, N.C. -- A Maiden man was charged for operating a meth lab after police stumbled across it.

On Wednesday, Maiden Police were conducting an unrelated investigation at a home in the 500 block of Potts Street in Maiden when they stumbled across a one-pot meth lab, authorities say.

The meth lab was found in a wooden outbuilding on the property.

The resident, 24-year-old Matthew Ryan Minton, was arrested and charged with felony manufacture methamphetamine.

He's due in court on Friday.
