CHINAGROVE, N.C. -- The Rowan County Sheriff's Office is looking for a registered sex offender who they say interfered with his electronic monitoring device.

The Sheriff's Office obtained warrants for 22-year-old Matthew Damion Parham on Thursday for interfering with an electronic monitoring device and failing to notify a change of address for a sex offender. Additionally, officials want Parham on two outstanding warrants for two counts of felony larceny in connection with two separate thefts of a large turn-lawn mowers.

Authorities say Parham told associates that he would not be returning to Rowan County, and his electronic monitoring device was recovered by probation officers from a location near A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis.

If you have any information on Parham's whereabouts, you're asked to call the Sheriff's Office or 911 immediately.
