CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte firefighters were called to a house fire on North Johnson Street just before 8 p.m. Friday night.

Firefighters were able to control the fire after about 15 minutes but the home suffered severe damage inside.

Nobody was hurt but the family of five have been displaced for the night. The Red Cross is helping them with shelter.

Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
