Nearly half of all women 50 and older will experience an Osteoporosis-related fracture in their lifetime.

The prevention strategy has always been calcium and vitamin D supplements, but now, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force says it may do nothing at all.

They say there wasn't enough evidence to recommend for or against premenopausal women using calcium and vitamin d, or for post-menopausal women taking high doses of the supplements.

Doctors agree, the best source of calcium is from your diet.
