CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- High winds are blamed for bringing down scaffolding in uptown Charlotte, injuring three people.

MEDICsays three people were injured, one of whom authorities say suffered life threatening injuries, when scaffolding toppled over at the Sheraton Uptown Friday morning.

All three people were taken to Carolinas Medical Center.

OSHA will investigate the collapse.
