LANCASTER, S.C. One person was seriously hurt during a Monday night shooting in Lancaster.
The incident took place around 10:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Thomas Lane. Officers arrived to find 24-year-old Damon Lamario Robinson on the adjacent North Gregory Street with gunshot wounds to his left arm and chest.
Police say Robinson observed some individuals behind a vacant house across the street from his residence. Robinson then unchained his dog (a pit bull), and the dog ran over to the vacant house, with Robinson running behind.
Robinson and his dog went inside the home and shots were fired, according to Lancaster police. After being shot, Robinson ran back across the street to his own ard and called 911.
Robinson needed to be flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte for treatment and remains in stable condition. The pit bull was not hurt.
