FORTMILL, S.C. -- A 28-year-old man is accused of leaving behind two injured children after rear-ending another vehicle.
Police say Richard Kordelski was behind the wheel on Friday afternoon when he hit a pickup on Charlotte Avenue in Fort Mill, then took off.
Inside his car were two boys ages 5 and 8.
Police say the 5-year-old had a cut on his face. The 8-year-old was hit by the airbag.
When officers caught up with the driver, he reportedly told them he was scared, and ran because he didn't know what to do.
Kordelski is charged with unlawful conduct toward a child, leaving the scene of an accident and driving under suspension.
