SATELLITE, Fla. -- A Charlotte area man is accused of robbing a Florida bank to help pay for a Disney cruise for his girlfriend and her kids, according to CNN.

Satellite Beach police charged 37-year-old Cedrick Royce Swinson with robbery after he held up a credit union to help pay for a Disney cruise, police say.

Police said Swinson and his girlfriend drove to Florida to take the cruise when he discovered the cash for his final payment was not available for withdrawal.

Around 10:40 a.m. on Thursday, Swinson walked into the Navy Federal Credit Union and slipped a teller a note demanding cash, police told CNN, before fleeing the bank in a white SUV with his girlfriend and two kids right after the robbery.

Police were able to track SUV down and take Swinson into custody. After questioning Swinson's girlfriend, police realized she had no part in the robbery, according to CNN.

Swinson is being held at the Brevard County jail under charges of robbery, grand theft and driving on a suspended license.
