COLUMBIA, S.C. -- A scary moment in Columbia Monday afternoon, as a pilot is forced to make an emergency landing.

Just before 5 p.m. at Owens Airport, about two miles outside of downtown Columbia, the plane was having problems with its landing gear and was circling for several minutes.

The plane eventually made a belly landing, and skidded to a stop.

The pilot jumped out, and appeared to be okay.
