HICKORY, N.C. -- Nobody was hurt after a small plane made an emergency landing in a field near Hickory Monday night, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

A Cessna 150 aircraft with two people on board landed safely in the field off of Whitener Road and Highway 10 just after 6:30 p.m.

A pilot was training a 16-year-old student on emergency landings when the plane had engine trouble, according to the FAA.

The pilot was able to land the plane safely.
