If you lost track of the calendar, please realize it s the 14th of April which means the following day is Tax Day.

A couple of quick reminders:
1. If you owe, you have to pay 90% of what you owe, even if you plan to file for an extension.

2. Also, remember, NO ONE from the IRS will call you or email you asking for your payment. Never give out your social security number or bank account information to anyone claiming to be from the IRS.

3. If you retired from the workforce last year, please know that you still have to pay income tax on social security, and investment income.

The good news? Because of federal budget cutbacks, your chances of being audited are much lower, especially if you make less than $200,000. For more information on e-filing and for help with the process, you can visit www.IRS.gov
