CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One patient has been hospitalized with potentially life threatening injuries, and another 10 patients are being evaluated after being exposed to carbon monoxide at a warehouse in Charlotte.

The Charlotte Fire Department's HazMat team responded to a warehouse belonging to Wikoff Color on reports of an unknown odor in the 2800 block of Interstate Street in Charlotte Monday afternoon.

MEDIC says one person has been taken CMC Main with potentially life threatening injuries, while the Charlotte Fire Department says 10 more patients were evaluated on the scene. Six of those 10 patients were taken to the hospital; the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
