CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Fire crews were called out to fight a blaze at a vacant home early Sunday morning.

The Charlotte Fire Department responded to the 3300 block of Fincher Boulevard in north Charlotte around 7:15 a.m.

Officials say heavy smoke and fire was coming from the engulfed residence when crews arrived on the scene.

The home is vacant, according to NBC Charlotte's crew on the scene.

No injuries were reported.
