CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It took Charlotte firefighters nearly an hour to put out a house fire on Shining Oak Lane Friday night.

The call came in around 6:30pm that a motorcycle had caught fire in the garage at 5910 Shining Oak Lane.

The Charlotte Fire Department tells NewsChannel 36 the cause of the fire is under investigation. Two neigboring houses sustained minor damage in the blaze.

Three people are now without a home because of the flames.

Although it took 32 firefighters to put out the fire, the house is a total loss.

According to the Charlotte Fire Department no one was injured in the fire.
