CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A cold Friday morning is expected to give way to sunny skies and warmer temperatures across the Charlotte region this afternoon.

Temperatures dropped into the low 20s in portions of the Charlotte region Friday morning, according to the First Warn Storm Team.

Temps are expected to warm up in the uppers 50 this afternoon. This evening will be partly cloudy, but not as cold with temps in the mid 30s, according to the First Warn Storm Team.

Temperatures will return to the upper 50s and low 60s for the weekend.
