YORKCOUNTY, S.C. -- One person has died and two others hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon near Clover.
Around 3:15 Thursday, a 42-year-old woman who not yet been identified died at Gaston Memorial Hospital after troopers say she pulled out in front of another vehicle traveling on SC 55.
Authorities say the unidentified woman was southbound on Forestview Road when she turned onto SC55, and was struck by a Chevy pick-up driven by 45-year-old Gregory Fite, a Clover resident.
Fite and his 39-year-old passenger were taken to Piedmont Medical Center. There's no official word on their conditions or if they're still hospitalized.
The unidentified woman was originally transported to Gaston Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The collision is still under investigation by the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.
