ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Crews worked to douse flames that erupted from the roof of an apartment complex in Rock Hill on Friday afternoon.

Officials say eight units were consumed in the blaze at the Yorktown Village Apartments on Ebinport Road near the intersection of Celanese in Rock Hill.

According to firefighters, no one was injured.

Volunteers with the Red Cross were dispatched to the complex Friday afternoon to provide immediate assistance and evaluate needs.Volunteers said15 adults, an 11-year-old boy, five-year-old girl and two-month-old baby boy were displaced.

The apartment complex is putting families up in a motel, but the Red Cross is setting up a donation drive at the complex club house Saturday from 12-2 p.m. They are in need of clothing in sizes for adults and all of the children. Toys are also appreciated.
