HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- Hopewell High School was lifted off a partial lockdown after authorites investigated potential threat Thursday morning.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg School officials and Huntersville police said they received a tip from a concerned parent about someone bringing a weapon on campus.

Police investigated the school off of Beatties Ford Road and found no weapon.

The school was cleared of the lockdown around 10:30 a.m.
