NBC Charlotte is looking out for you with a warning about an e-mail scam that could be lurking in your inbox right now.

The Better Business Bureau says scammers are using their name, sending out millions of emails claiming to be with the BBB.

The message asks you to open an attachment, or click on a link to review a complaint. But if you do, you could be unleashing a virus on your computer.

If you get one of these messages-- don't open it!

Forward the email to phishing@council.bbb.org, then delete it and run a scan on your computer using your anti-virus software.
