CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Three people were injured after a car slammed into a CATS bus Sunday.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on South Tryon Street and Foster Avenue. According to authorities, a vehicle pulled into the path of the CATS bus that was traveling south along South Tryon Street.

According to Medic two of the injured had life threatening injuries, all three were transported to Carolinas Medical Center.

It was not immediately clear if the driver of the car will face charges.
