MINT HILL, N.C. -- More than a dozen vehicles were targeted by recent burglars in the Mint Hill area.

Police say suspects broke into about 17 vehicles on Margaret-Wallace Road, Bartlett Road and in the Oxfordshire neighborhood. It happened in the overnight hours between Aug. 19 and Aug. 20

All but one of the vehicles were unlocked, but the owner of the locked car left a purse in plain view.

Mint Hill police advise residents to lock their doors and take out any personal items.

Anyone with information on the break-ins should call police.
