YORK, S.C. -- A Clover man is behind bars charged with three counts of attempted murder after allegedly randomly firing shots upon a vehicle in mid-January.

Just before 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, York Police were called out to Westwood Drive on reports of shots fired.

The three victims told police that when they turned onto Westwood Drive from Highway 321 By-pass, 20-year-old Kejuan Deangelo Dye, of Clover, was standing, holding a gun.

As the victims drove closer, they told police Dye walked into the middle of the street and fired a shot in the air.

The driver of the vehicle attempted to flee the area, and told authorities Dye fired three to four more shots, this time at the vehicle, as it sped away.

None of the vehicle's occupants were injured in the incident.

Dye is charged with three counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. Authorities say Dye was also found to be in possession of drugs, but did not disclose the type or related charge.
