IREDELLCOUNTY, N.C. -- Authorities in Iredell County conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after one of the occupants was spotted making a drug deal in a gas station parking lot, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.

On Monday, deputies ran the registration of a 1986 Oldsmobile traveling eastbound on Salisbury Highway to discover the operator of the vehicle did not have a valid driver's license.

Before officers were able to conduct a traffic stop, the Sheriff's Office says the vehicle pulled into a nearby gas station.

Officers pulled in and observed the vehicle's occupants in the parking lot.

The passenger, identified as Kindall Allison Goss, Jr., 23, appeared to make a drug transaction in the parking lot, officials say.

After about 25 minutes, the vehicle left the parking lot and officers quickly conducted a traffic stop.

The driver, Kindall Allison Goss, Sr., 44, was charged with driving while license revoked.

After a search of the vehicle turned up six bags of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and more than $4600 in cash, Goss Sr.'s son was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
