Handyman sentenced for sexually assaulting homeowner
CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. -- A man accused of sexual assault was sentenced to more than three years in prison this week.
The crime happened in April 2013.
George Loggins Jr., 66, has been convicted second-degree sexual offense. Prosecutors say he assaulted a 49-year-old woman while working as a handyman in her Catawba County home.
Loggins was sentenced to no less than 46 months and no more than 116 months in prison. He will be required to register as a sex offender following his release.
