GRANITE FALLS, N.C. -- Police arresting a man on a drug charge opened a new investigation when they arrived at the suspect s house.
Old drug investigation leads Caldwell deputies to meth lab
Deputies initially went to the home in the 3500 block of Hunters Path in Granite Falls to take Jarrod Johnson, 36, into custody. He was wanted on a felony warrant after officers previously caught him with a half ounce of crystal meth, the Caldwell County Sheriff s Office says.
Police say 41-year-old Kevin Greene Sr. answered the door when they arrived, and Green allegedly lied about Johnson being in the home.
The narcotics agents did find Johnson at the residence, as well as 21-year-old Stephanie Hammond.
Upon searching further, police found meth, a pistol and drug paraphernalia, police say. The drugs have a street value of almost $2,900.
Police arrested all three suspects.
