CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An AMBER Alert has been cancelled for a 4-year-old Charlotte girl police say was abducted by her mom and boyfriend at a home in northeast Charlotte.
Tiana D'Nae Richardson was taken from her father's home at 510 Derrydowne Drive in the Hidden Valley neighborhood just south of Interstate 85 early Saturday morning.
Police said 22-year old Kandice Dynae Brown and 26-year-old Derrick Theron Richardson Jr., no relation, took the young girl while holding the father at gunpoint.
According to officials -- Brown, Richardson, and another unknown male approached the father, Bradwick Richardson and two other adults as they were leaving the home forcing them back inside.
Investigators say the trio demanded money from Bradwick and even assualted him. Authorities say Kandice Brown forcefully removed Tianna from the home while the victims were being held at gunpoint.
Investigators tell NewsChannel 36, the mother had not had any contact with her daughter since June 2012.
Around 10:00 a.m. Saturday the AMBERAlert was cancelled after Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested the mother and her boyfriend.
Tiana is scheduled to be reunited with her father.
