CHARLOTTE, N.C. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers handed out 58 citations during a seatbelt operation Thursday night in northeast Charlotte.

Police set up the initiative on The Plaza at Milton Road from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., and 10 officers were involved.

Overall, 29 people were cited for not wearing a seatbelt, six people for having improper license plate tags, seven for not having a proper driver s license and four for driving with a revoked license.
