WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) -- Thirty-four people have been arrested after Brunswick County sheriff's deputies made a drug sweep through the county.

Authorities say all of those arrested during Wednesday's sweep had earlier sold drugs to undercover law officers. Operation Christmas Crackdown resulted in arrests for everything from possession of marijuana to sales of cocaine and guns.

Sheriff's Lt. Israel West says the department has conducted several drug roundups in recent years targeting street-level and mid-level drug dealers.
