CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The average cost of gasoline in Charlotte is up six cents in the last week, according to data from GasBuddy's daily survey.

The average price per gallon for regular unleaded in Charlotte sits at $3.35, nine cents higher than the national average of $3.26.

A gallon of gas is costing Charlotte-area residents 7.3 cents less than they paid a year ago, but prices are up almost six cents in the last month.

The national average decreased 9.3 cents over the last month, and currently stands 6.8 cents cheaper as compared to one year ago.
