CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Hickory Grove Division of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has arrested a man they say is responsible for three home break-ins in January.

A witness called 911 on Friday night to report that a home in the 100 block of Spring Laurel Drive had just been broken in to.

Officers arrived on the scene, and the witness identified the suspect and suspect vehicle. Officers immediately initiated a traffic stop and were able to gather enough evidence to identify the driver, 24-year-old Antonio Aguilar as the suspect in the break in.

Through the course of the investigation, authorities determined Aguilar was responsible for two other home burglaries on Spring Laurel Drive and a larceny of an auto the same day on Spring Ridge Lane.

Aguilar is charged with three counts of residential breaking and entering, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, larceny and resisting officers.
