NEWYORK -- The TODAY Show on the NBC network and on NBC Charlotte debuted on January 14, 1952.

It was the first of its genre on American television and in the world, and is the fifth-longest running American television series. Originally a two-hour program on weekdays, it expanded to four hours in 2007.

The show has become not only a household word, but a big part of the lives of people across the Carolinas and the U.S.----and world-wide on the internet.

Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Natalie Morales start the day for millions of loyal viewers. Along with NBC Charlotte TODAY, people have a lot of familiar faces to keep them informed and entertained every morning.

On Larry's Look this morning, we got the exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the TODAY Show! Larry was recently in New York City and had the chance to spend the morning with the whole crew. It was a fun experience, with Al Roker's humored-filled perspective.
