CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a man accused of selling counterfeit Carolina Panthers tickets.

Police charged 38-year-old Akim Sidberry with attempt to obtain property by false pretenses for trying to sell fraudulent Panthers tickets last Saturday.

Sidberry and the victim met in the 500 block of South College Street to make the transactions. The victim realized the tickets were counterfeit and alerted police, according to the report.

Police were able to identify Sidberry as the suspect and arrest him.
